My honeymoon period

The last six months have been an absolute treat for me in many ways- work, peace of mind, and most importantly, energy.

At work, I've been able to take all my stress and convert it into productivity. This is where I think I was able to truly test my ability to do both- get work done at light speed, but at the same time spend some time understanding the bigger picture of where my team is heading towards.

As I work in the maintenance team, the stress and pressure can sometimes be a bit too much. I see my colleagues lose it when put under all that stress. As much as I used to like boasting about my abilities to not crack under such pressure, I now feel only empathy for people who do. I truly wish people develop that ability.

Even outside of work, I've not gotten angry or upset about anything or anyone in the last 6 months, something which I am thankful for, and wish for everyone to be able to experience.

In today's world, there is a lot of noise. Be it information, opinions, data, advice, educational material, anything for that matter. So the most important thing to remember while searching for anything is to filter out all of the noise. Not just the physical noise, but of any sort.

Thankfully I don't have a serious attitude to life. Sometimes I'm particular and concerned about things, but otherwise, I let things take their course if they're beyond my control, or are not worth trying to control. This mindset helps a lot.

You see, there are two choices- being right and perfect, or being at peace. I did, and think that choosing the second option will do more good to oneself and those around him/her.

I sincerely wish for everyone to go through their own 'honeymoon' period to enjoy one's own company. To never feel lonely when alone, for that's just purely blissful.
